As highlighted in our email of 19 November, the window for 2021 CPD accreditations is now closed.
To help you complete your Accreditations admin as we move towards year-end, I wanted to highlight the following:
Accessing reports on CPD Accreditations
Steps to renew your CPD Accreditations for 2022
Content must fall within the Central Bank of Ireland's MCC
Accessing Reports on CPD Accreditations
As you may already be aware, you can access reports on your CPD accreditations within our CPD system.
To access your reports, simply log in to your CPD Portal using your dedicated username and password. If you can't locate your login details, please contact us at cpdaccreditations@iii.iewith “Login for Renewals” in the subject line, and we will clarify your login details.
Once logged in, you will note that you now have two report options on your CPD Accreditations:
The first report, as per the image below, will give you the “Company view” i.e. it will show you all CPD accreditations for your Company.
The second report will just show you the CPD accreditations you yourself have submitted.
Steps to renew your CPD Accreditations for 2022
When an event is accredited by The Insurance Institute, it is accredited for the calendar year only, i.e. up to, and including, 31 December. If you wish to renew your CPD accreditations for 2022, please follow the steps below at the end of December/beginning of January.
Click on 'Reports'. As mentioned earlier you can look at a company report or an individual report:
4. Accreditations - Submission History - Company View
4. Other - Accreditation Submission History
Once you run the required report, you should review and update it, identifying the events you wish to renew for 2022.
CPD Events can be automatically renewed upon your request, if there are no changes/less than 20% changes to the content originally accredited. If the changes required amount to more than 20% of the content, then the event(s) must be submitted through our CPD system as if it was a new event seeking CPD Accreditation for the first time.
You should email a copy of your completed report to cpdaccreditations@iii.ie with the subject line 'CPD Accreditation Renewals'.
Renewal instructions must be received by 28 February 2022.
We will confirm by email when the accreditation renewals have been processed on our CPD system.
Single renewal - What you need to do
To renew just one/two CPD events, send an email to cpdaccreditations@iii.ie with the subject line 'CPD Accreditation Renewal'.
Outline the event you wish to renew and confirm that there have been no changes/less than 20% changes to the content originally accredited. As mentioned above, if the changes required amount to more than 20% of the content, then the event must be submitted through our CPD system as if it was a new event seeking CPD Accreditation for the first time.
We will confirm by email when the accreditation renewal(s) have been processed on our CPD system.
Content must fall within the Central Bank of Ireland's MCC
In addition, please note that the CBI issued an updated Q & A document in December 2019which highlights the fact that CPD content must fall within MCC.
